Reason #2 Why It’s Hard to Get Clarity

If you fear change, check this out

It can be hard to get clarity if part of you believes having clarity will trigger scary changes in your life.

If you tend to feel confused about what you want or how to get it …

Chances are you have unconscious beliefs that if clarity happens, disaster will ensue.

Damaged by-igor-rand-354192It’s not your fault

If you’re like most people, you have limiting beliefs lurking beneath the surface of your mind that you don’t even know you have.

All you know is, you want clarity – and it’s just not happening.

Frustrating, right?

It may be that your unconscious mind blocks your clarity because it believes something like:

  • If I get clarity, I’ll have to leave behind everyone and everything, and move to a strange new place
  • If I get clarity, I’ll realize how unhappy I am, and that will make me more miserable than ever
  • If I get clarity, I’ll have to quit my job and then I’ll end up homeless

Want some help undoing the unconscious beliefs keeping you from seeing the truth that will set you free?

  • Would you like your Higher Power to show you why clarity serves you better than confusion?
  • Would you like to know what you would really have to do if you got clarity, in relation to what you thought you would have to do?
  • Would you like to understand the true extent of your free will?
  • Would you like to know how much power you truly have, and why it is safe for you to know this now?

If you would like these healing downloads, please say “Yes” out loud now.

Reason #2 Why It’s Hard to Find Your Passion

Too much loss can make you lose faith in life, making finding your passion seem pointless

Click here to listen to this healing meditation

It can be hard to find your passion if you have little or no faith in life.

If doubt and disbelief arise when you think about finding and pursuing a passion, chances are you feel too betrayed by life to risk taking a chance one more time.

It’s not your fault

sad by-pablo-varela-311608

If you’re like most people, you have experienced loss and suffering time and time again.

To avoid further disappointment, you gave up hoping for anything better.

Closing the door on hope is a normal self-protective practice – until it shrivels your soul and you trudge through your days with nothing fun or good to look forward to.

So, if you can’t find your passion, it may be because you’re afraid to believe again – which is understandable, given your past experiences.

Yet, without passion … without a joyful reason to get up in the morning … you are only going through the motions of living. You are half alive.

Waiting by-kyle-broad-29486

Here’s the bottom line

If you want to find your passion, you need to find a reason to believe again.

If you’re like most people, you feel betrayed by life because things haven’t always gone your way – therefore, you cannot trust life.

This line of reasoning only proves the shortcomings of logic, because it overlooks the bigger picture:

Life is a dynamic process, always on the move. Our planet hurtles through space at more than 500,000 miles per hour.

To expect that life will always go in the direction you want is to invite disappointment.

Instead of declaring life to be bad and wrong because it hasn’t followed your game plan, consider revising your game plan to include faith that whatever happens, you will handle it somehow.

It stands to reason because you’ve handled everything life has brought you, so far. The fact that you are breathing in and out proves that you are strong and smart and brave and lucky, for many people have not lived to see the age you are right now.

Would you like your Higher Power to give you the highest understanding of how to work with Life in the highest, best, most wonderful ways?

Would you like to feel loved and supported by Life now, and going forward?

If you would like these healing downloads, please say “Yes” out loud now.

Imagine rainbow light sparkling through all dimensions of your body, mind, heart, and soul.

Notice how you feel.

Why You Can Face 2018 with Confidence

It’s the most natural thing in the world to imagine the New Year will be even more rocky than the old year, when you’re in a “life sucks” state of mind.

If looking ahead with dread makes you feel more prepared for whatever may come in 2018, go for it. Plenty of people prefer to expect the worst, in hopes of avoiding disappointment and the pain of dashed dreams.

Here’s the thing – As a wise man once said, “In life, you don’t get what you want. You get what you expect.” A self-fulfilling prophecy cuts both ways.

alex-iby-297804

Expect the worst, and you very often get it. Expect the best, and you very often get it.

So, if you prefer to face 2018 with confidence instead of fear, here are some tips to help you make it happen.

Why faith in yourself is justified

  • Did you start something new in 2017?
  • Did you end something that was draining your energy?
  • Did you reach a goal?
  • Did you decide to let someone or something go?
  • Did you jump on an opportunity and ride it out?
  • Did you dodge a bullet?
  • Did you forgive someone?
  • Did you let yourself off the hook from doing something you never wanted to do?
  • Did you give yourself permission to succeed?
  • Did you give yourself permission to fail?
  • Did you make a difference in someone’s life?
  • Did you do something super-fun?

balloon by-antonio-lainez-347987

Whatever happened last year, you have acquired priceless information about what does and does not work for you. About what matters to you, and what doesn’t. About what you value, and what you hold cheap.

This knowledge equips you to make even smarter choices in 2018.

So, now what?

Action Steps

  1. Note your wins. Write down your accomplishments from the past year: the gains; the insights; the healing… The letting go of something unwanted; the overcoming of a challenge; the patient endurance of something that had to be endured; the surrender of the illusion of control over someone or something you can never, ever control.
  2. Savor your victories. Take a moment to re-live and savor the excitement, the relief, or the triumph you felt after each experience. Sometimes, simply surviving an ordeal counts as a victory … over circumstances, and over your own self-doubt.

arnold-exconde-289207

3. Recognize you have a lot to be proud of. Consider: Were there any accomplishments you felt sure you would never pull off? And yet, you did pull them off. Congratulations!

4. Light up your brain. Hold each of your shining accomplishments in your mind for a moment, one by one. Imagine gathering them into a glittering bouquet of brilliance.

5. You stepped up before, so you can do it again. Look upon this glowing garland as proof that in 2018, you will be able to be, do and have more than you can imagine right now … just as you did in 2017.

Hands of Light by-rhett-wesley-343206

6. Power it up. Picture yourself placing this light in your heart. Let it guide your steps as you walk into 2018 with confidence and joy.

7. Remember, you never walk alone. Whatever you do, whatever you choose … never think for a moment that you are doing it by yourself. Unseen forces come into play the moment you take action – creating momentum, generating opportunities and helping you over the hard places.

This year, consider praying to your Higher Power as your first response, rather than your last resort … and watch what happens.

There is genius, power and magic in you. Let it shine in the year to come, my dear!

What would you do if you knew you could not fail? Please share your thoughts in the box below. Thank you, and all the best to you!

3 Tips for Surviving Your Family Gathering

If you dread spending time with your family over the holidays, check this out

We all know the holidays are supposed to be a time of warmth and laughter … of joyful gatherings with family and friends …

And I hope that’s true for you, my dear.

But what if the holidays are not joyful for you?
Sad by-milada-vigerova-7276

What if your past experiences of the holidays make you feel anxious about seeing your family this time of year?

Like any sane person, you dread the prospect of spending time with dreadful people who happen to be related to you.

Look, it would be kind of weird if you enjoyed being tortured in the name of holiday cheer.

Here’s the thing

You can’t do anything about the way your family members behave, short of calling the cops and having them hauled off to jail.

What you can do is change the way you think about your family members, so you can enjoy the enjoyable folks without letting the others spoil your fun.

Changing your mind about your family can be hard to do on your own …

So here are some tips to help you get started.

Do You Expect Your Loved Ones to be Different This Time?

Happy by-omar-lopez-355586

Do This Instead

  1. Stop judging folks who behave the way they want – instead of the way you want. Respect the right of others to be exactly as they are, even if you think they could stand some improvement.
  2. Ask yourself, “What would happen if, just for today, I accept everyone for who they are?”
  3. Approach each person with an open mind and an open heart. You will feel better, and so will they

Do You Allow Bullies to Back You into a Corner?

bully by-clem-onojeghuo-146651

Do This Instead

  1. Prepare to flee as soon as you feel attacked, verbally or physically. Forget hoping the bully will back off. Bullies don’t work that way.
  2. Excuse yourself, saying, “Got to go. I need to make a phone call.” Or whatever. Just get out of there. You do not have to put up with this behavior.
  3. Stay under the radar of the bully. Leave if you must. A party is not the time or place for a showdown. Save it for another time.

Do You Make Being Right Your Top Priority?

angry by-les-anderson-224832 (1)

Do This Instead

  1. Respect the opinions of others, however misguided they seem to you.
  2. Ask yourself, “Would I rather fight, or enjoy this time with my loved ones?”
  3. Say, “Let’s agree to disagree. Truce? Can I get you a drink, or something to eat?” Bring them what they want. Enjoy your time together.

I hope you found these tips useful, my friend.

Please know: If you feel like you would be happier, or safer, by staying away from your family, it’s okay to make other plans.

You have the right to protect yourself, whatever your relatives may have told you.

You are officially authorized now to enjoy your holidays any way you wish.

Wishing you a season of light, laughter and love.

I am thankful for YOU!

Do family gatherings scare you?

If the holidays feel more like an ordeal than a celebration, check this out.

“So, you came here alone … again.”

“You’re still stuck in that dead-end job, aren’t you?”

“Go help your mother in the kitchen!”

It’s amazing…

The way some family members treat you – or ignore you – at a holiday gathering.

Why can’t they say, “Hi! Glad to see you!” or something equally, you know, welcoming?

Who can blame you for dreading family gatherings, when they can feel awkward at best, or agonizing at worst?

What you wish could be the most wonderful time of the year looms in your mind as a series of ordeals to be survived, rather than celebrations to be enjoyed.

Where’s the fun in that?

Ready to clear self-doubt?

If you’re tired of your brain “protecting” you from reaching your goals, check this out.

Has self-doubt held you back from taking even one baby step toward the life you yearn to live?

Step by-isaac-benhesed-249425

Whatever you are afraid will happen if you take that step – chances are, you can handle it.

How can you trust that?

Why can you trust yourself?

Well, look at all the stuff you’ve already handled in your life.

You’ve endured experiences that would have crushed countless others.

You’ve survived events you felt certain you would never live through – and yet, here you are – thank goodness!

You are a champion, my beautiful friend.

Discouraged by-xavier-sotomayor-192007 (1)

And yet, self-doubt still plagues you.

Why?

Lots of reasons, including:

  • Childhood programming to see yourself as a victim or weakling
  • Systematic undermining by loved ones (who may, or may not, realize what they are doing)
  • Your own brain’s negativity bias – it’s wired to doubt the positive and trust the negative

Wow. How do you make self-doubt stop?

It’s hard to undo so many levels of programming – nature, nurture, culture, DNA – all by yourself.

The first step

Become aware you’ve been trained to doubt yourself.

The second step

Be willing to step away from the madness that urges you to doubt your worth, your intelligence, and your capabilities.

The third step

You can do it
